Federal Mirrors

I passed up a beautiful convex/federal style mirror at an antique store a few weeks ago and am still kicking myself for it. I've been stalking Etsy and eBay for the perfect one {it would be a gorgeous addition to a gallery wall}.

Wednesday Thoughts

Lately:

+ Teaching myself Sketchup in hopes of making my interior designer dreams come true. Has anyone used it? Any tips? 

+ Prepping my wardrobe for a fun summer in two fun cities. Wanting to add these ikat shorts and these wedges.
+ Finally got around to making these no-bake energy bites I've been seeing on Pinterest. They're so good and the perfect snack to take to work.

+ Watched The Hunger Games {with a lot of high schoolers}. Thinking about starting the books?
+ Getting excited about our big move to the Big Apple. We finally found a place to live, makes it so real!

Floral Pants

Would you wear floral pants? The secret to styling them is pairing them with a basic, neutral top or blazer. And I love the leopard heels in the last image {all about mixing prints}.

Jewelry Storage

After seeing these images I definitely need a new system in my jewelry organization. Right now my necklaces drape over our antique mirror, so if I want one in the back, I have to take them all off. My bracelets and smaller accessories lay haphazardly in a vintage mirrored tray. I love the idea of having a small jewelry vignette, with a jewelry box {check out Etsy for really pretty vintage options}, necklace tree, and organized tray for holding brooches and smaller accessories.

I'm loving this drawing by Inslee. The outfits are the perfect mix of classic and feminine. Roll the cuffs of the denim and sleeves for extra style.

I love the look of big, square glasses. My problem is -- I'm not even close to needing glasses. What are your thoughts on wearing glasses without needing them? Is it ok to wear the frames and treat them just as another accessory?

How was your weekend?

* I use the coconut oil on my skin, lips, and once or twice a week I apply it to the ends of my hair for about thirty minutes before getting in the shower. Works wonders!
