I know neon has been all over the blogging world lately, but I love it. I want to make some neon friendship bracelets like I did back when I was little. Have you incorporated neon into anything?

I've been feeling uninspired decorating-wise and ever since our Craigslist additions, {1 + 2} I've done absolutely nothing as far as decorating goes. Lately I've been loving this guy's design aesthetic.

Weekend

Nothing too exciting to report from our weekend, except:

1. Having the best ice cream of our lives. (Salted caramel and milk chocolate Guinness. Mmmm.)

 2. New Anthro knobs, an easy and inexpensive sprucer-upper.

Meal Planning

Lately I've been feeling like I've been flunking in the cooking department. We make grocery store trips way more than normal people should because of a lack of planning, and I've finally decided that it's time to buckle down and start doing menu plans. For this week:

Monday
Chicken with beer reduction

Steamed asparagus

Tuesday

Grilled peach and goat cheese pizza

Wednesday

Some kind of paninis with whatever meats and cheeses are in the fridge, made with a favorite wedding gift

Kale chips

Thursday

Grilled chicken with brie and baby spinach salad

Family

Being back home for the wedding was a rare time when the whole family was able to be together. Getting older has made me appreciate family more than I ever thought I would, and our times together, although not as frequent as I wish they could be, are always so incredibly fun.

I love how big my family is -- three boys, four girls, three of us married now, and one little niece on the way in August!

** Also: I just realized that I've been blogging for one year, today! For my first several months of blogging I didn't tell anyone about it, it was just a way to be creative and store ideas that I had. So glad it's turned into what it is now, it's been such a fun year! Thanks for reading! 

Evelyn's Wedding

Ev's wedding was beautiful, she made the most gorgeous bride and it was so amazing celebrating with family and friends. There's something about going home after being away for a while, it just felt so good. Here's a peek at their special day.
